How a Theology of Marriage Saved My Marriage and How Knowing It Can Help us to Love Our
LGBTQ Neighbors Like Christ
8:30 and 10:30 a.m.
It may sound cliché to say that theology can save a marriage. Isn’t that too externally based? Too intellectual? Don’t we need therapy instead of theology? Truly, therapy was required to save author and teacher Laurie Krieg’s marriage to her husband, Matt. However, a proper theology of marriage was the catalyst to even get her into the therapy door to do the heart work required to work on her marriage. How did that work? And how can such understanding help us to love our LGBTQ neighbors like Jesus? Laurie will unpack it all.
The Heart of the LGBTQ Conversation
5:30-7:30 p.m.
The sexual identity conversation is prevalent in the Church. How can Christians who hold to a historically biblical view of marriage, sexuality, and gender walk alongside people who experience same-sex attractions or are in a same-sex relationship? What about those who experience gender dysphoria or who choose to transition? Utilizing a decade of ministry experience and her education in missiology, author and speaker Laurie Krieg will help us to discover the heart of the LGBTQ conversation so we can engage with grace, truth, and love.
